Exhibition: “Atlantic Aurora”.
-
Atlantic Aurora— draws on the aurora as a metaphor for hope, emergence, and transformation. This exhibition traces the Atlantic not only as a site of rupture and displacement but also as a living conduit of cultural exchange and creative reinvention. Across improvised portraits, landscapes, and abstract compositions, the works evoke hidden narratives, submerged mythologies, and the presence of those often consigned to historical silence. In quiet allusion with Gilroy’s vision of the Black Atlantic, the exhibition foregrounds how art can illuminate both the scars of the ocean’s violent histories and the resilience, hybridity, and imaginative power that continue to flow across its shores.
